Manchester Tutor Company offers help and support for the City & Guild functional skills exams. We are working with our partners at MME to assemble an ensemble of revision resources consisting of City and Guilds Functional Skills past papers. These past papers can help learners to better familiarise themselves with the type of questions that will be asked during the exam as well as understand what your strong and weak areas are with the included mark scheme.

The City and Guilds Functional Skills exam provides a GCSE equivalent qualification that is a great way to gain entry into a college or university to start your dream course, as many of these institutes require a GCSE equivalent in English and maths. Many employers also look for these qualifications in potential employees, increasing your chances of getting your dream job. City and Guilds offer four different functional skills qualifications; Maths Level 1 and 2, English Level 1 and 2. This variety allows you to pick the qualification that will suit your needs.

These functional skills exams are similar to the other functional skills exams MME provide, where you will be required to sit the exam remotely, requiring a laptop or computer with a working microphone and webcam. On the day of your exam, you will be invited to a video call by an invigilator where they will assist you in setting up your exam. The exam also follows the same curriculum as other functional skills exams.

With all the resources available to you for revision on the MME website, you should be able to ace your City and Guilds Functional Skills exams.
