There are different GCSE Equivalent Qualifications you can receive but the Functional Skills Maths Level 2 is the most popular. It is recognized by establishments such as universities and employers also accept this qualification. The Functional Skills Maths Level 2 qualification is designed for people who didn’t achieve a Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above.
The exam that MME offers is the online functional skills exam. Since the exam is online you will be taking the exam at home and you will need a device such as a laptop or computer that has a webcam to be able to sit it. You will receive an email with the link for the exam and this link will have been sent by an Ofqual approved invigilator. The exam takes 2 hours. If you book your functional skills exam with MME, you are able to take the exam within 5 working days. The result will also be sent to you by email from MME and you will receive them between 2 to 3 weeks and the certificate takes 3 weeks from the day you passed. You can book to sit the exam on a Saturday or any week day. The Online Functional Skills Level 2 Maths exam is accredited and is accepted since it is a GCSE Equivalent Qualification therefore you can apply to universities with the qualification.
